Someone on my course wouldn’t stop talking about weight loss so I just had a full-on emotional meltdown in front of my class with TEARS and everything.  SO AWKWARD.

Reasons Brighton beach is infinity times more...
It’s cold. Like, really properly bracingly sea-air cold. You can wrap up as warm as you like but there’s not a lot you can do about the cold on your face. It forces itself to be felt and it demands your attention, taking your thoughts away for a short time from the crushing emptiness of existence. The winter sun. During the day it reflects off the sea with the light of a million...

waitingforturnips: its-wallie: waitingforturnips: I find it interesting that while many people on Tumblr are obsessed with correcting spelling and punctuation errors, nobody has any problem with the innovative grammatical structures that become popular through novelty. It’s okay to use non-standard grammar, like turning verbs into nouns (‘all the feels’, ‘all the cries’ etc) and leaving out...

“The thing that seems unfair to me is the number of people that are expected to...”
– David Mitchell. (via threehundredandsixtyeight) A lot of people don’t care about their jobs and their service is artificially sweet.  But I like to hope that people can find joy in everything.  It might sound naive but you can choose the worldview that makes you happiest.  And what if that...

kneedull replied to your post: Okay so the movement for body acceptance is quite… do you really think that no one else likes or would ever like your face? i feel like if you really believe that, it would be impossible not to internalize that feeling and not like it yourself, creating a cycle? I’m new to liking my face, after learning very slowly that there’s nothing inherently...

Anonymous asked: It's not so much "thin privilege" as it is "average weight privilege" I know the term can be confusing so I get your post but that's basically what it's more like :)

Okay so the movement for body acceptance is quite substantial but what I’d really like to see is face acceptance.  I feel like the only good faces are symmetrical, clear-skinned, big-eyed, button-nosed, high-cheekboned white faces and that even though I like my face no one else ever will.  Even body acceptance posts show pictures of people with really conventional faces.  Can we just promote...

As someone who is two stone underweight and has suffered all her life for it I’m massively upset by this idea.

Like I was really dreading this February because last February was really horrible.  But I realised that things are the BEST because it’s no longer last February which seems like a different person lived then.
